If you are feeding it a propper diet, it shouldn't need them. Make sure the food you buy is of good quality. If you have to supplement the dog's diet, change your food brand. Burns is great, as is Hills, Royal Canin and James Well-Beloved.

In all honesty, I've never had to feed a dog vitamins, and neither has anyone in my family. We owned great danes when I was younger, and fed them average run-of-the-mill dog food that probably wasn't the best thing for them at the time, and all of our dogs lived happily and healthily enough.

What I mean by a propper diet is one formulated for dogs, not table scraps.
